One of the best things about radio controlled helicopters is that you can play with them both indoors and outdoors. Unlike the RC helicopters of some years ago, which were very heavy, very noisy and very expensive (not to mention huge) you can fly today’s Micro RC helicopters outside and inside, as they’re small and easy to manage.
While this is good news for those that don’t like to venture out into the big wide world, and like to stay indoors where it’s warm, for those who like to get out, RC helicopters offer the opportunity to do this too.
You can fly RC helicopters outside in the smallest of space, such as a small back garden, or even from a roof terrace or balcony. This is where they’re much better than RC cars for example, for where a car requires some space to manoeuvre, an RC helicopter just requires the space it occupies to take off, and then it’s able to fly around in the sky without any trouble.
So if a garden is something you don’t have, don’t worry, as you can launch an RC helicopter from a confined space like a balcony, or even through a large window, and fly it in your own personal ‘airspace garden’.
