Both these 4 Channel RC helicopters are perfect choices for beginners and are a smooth introduction into the hobby of flying radio control helicopters. But, you may be wondering, which out of the two should I buy? We will now look at each model and its features to determine which the best beginner craft to buy.
Firstly, to explain to those new to this activity, these particular models are fully controllable in all directions and can fly up/down, left/right, forwards/backwards and can also spin left/right on their axis.
The two models of helicopter are similar in price and retail at around £110. The main differences between the two is that the Walkera 4G1B utilises the latest 2.4GHz technology and has a high quality durable CNC metal rotor head whereas the E-SKY Big Lama uses the 35MHz frequency but is a very stable co-axial helicopter.
The choppers are generally suitable for indoor use and use outside during calm weather conditions. They are great models for training outside. The E-SKY Lama has great power in windy conditions and is extremely easy to fly with simple operation. It will need to be flown in a field on its own whereas the Walkera 4g1B has more precise identification and code pairing and can be flown in a field with up to 20 aircraft.
The two helicopters are both really good choices, but it depends what you are looking for. The power of the E-SKY Big Lama is great for windy conditions but the Walkera is an excellent outdoor trainer model with up to date features.
