How RC Mods makes money

RC Mods is free to read. To pay for running it, some links to shops may be affiliate links: if you click one and buy something, the shop may pay us a small commission. The price you pay is the same.

How to spot them

Links to shops go through an address starting with /go/, such as a "Check price on Amazon" or "Find it on eBay" button on a picks page, or a "Find spares on eBay" button on a brand page. Pages with these links show a short notice near the top.

Our rules

  • Commissions never decide a pick. If the best option has no affiliate link, it's still the pick.
  • We say how picks were chosen: from hands-on use, or from specification and owner reports. No invented tests or star ratings.
  • We only recommend models with UK spares.
  • No brand pays for coverage, and no brand sees a page before it's published.
  • Prices shown are approximate and dated, and say which UK shop we checked them at. They are never Amazon or eBay prices; always check the price before you buy.

eBay Partner Network. RC Mods is a member of the eBay Partner Network, eBay's affiliate programme. Links to ebay.co.uk on this site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something on eBay, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. We also use eBay for spares for older and discontinued models, which are now mostly sold as old stock or second-hand, through the "Find spares on eBay" buttons on brand pages.

Where the buttons go. For now, buy buttons go to Amazon when the exact product is listed there under its own brand, and to an eBay search otherwise. UK specialist model shops often know these models better and stock the spares; we'll link to them directly as affiliate programmes with them are added, and they'll be listed here.
