Privacy

RC Mods is a reference site. We don't run accounts, take payments, use advertising trackers or set cookies (see cookies). This page explains the little we do collect.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server records basic technical information about each request: the page requested, the time, your IP address and your browser type. We use this only to keep the site running and secure, for example to spot errors and attacks. Logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.

Clicks on shop links

When you click a shop link, such as "Check price on Amazon", "Find it on eBay" or "Find spares on eBay" (an address starting with /go/), we record the time, which product link was clicked and which of our pages it was on. We don't record who you are. This tells us which guides are useful. The shop you visit then has its own privacy policy.

Emails you send us

If you contact us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and don't share them with anyone else.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Use the contact page.

Changes

If this changes, for example if we add analytics, we'll update this page and the cookies page first.
