Goosky helicopters

By Paul Walsh Last reviewed

Goosky builds collective pitch helicopters that have become a common sight at UK clubs, from the small S1 to the big Legend RS models. They're known for good build quality for the price and sensible design.

Goosky in brief

Goosky is a Chinese manufacturer focused on flybarless collective pitch helicopters. Its line-up runs from the S1 (a 250-ish class direct-drive model) through the S2 to the Legend RS4, RS5 and RS7.

Status (checked October 2026): trading. Model Helicopters UK lists over 600 Goosky parts.

Who Goosky suits

  • S1: a good small collective pitch helicopter for anyone who has learned the basics, cheap to crash and quick to fix.
  • S2: steadier in wind thanks to its size; a good outdoor sport helicopter.
  • RS series: for experienced pilots wanting a full-size helicopter without the price of the top European brands.

For a first helicopter, read best RC helicopters for beginners and think about practising on an RC flight simulator first.

Spares and repairs

Goosky parts are well stocked in the UK. On the S1, typical crash parts are main blades, the main shaft, blade grips and landing gear. Larger RS models need the usual collective pitch checks after any crash: see after a crash: checks and repairs.

How it compares

Goosky and OMPHobby are close rivals at the small end; choose on radio compatibility and which parts your dealer stocks. At the large end, the RS series competes with Align on price. Blade remains the easiest for complete beginners thanks to its SAFE modes.
